Special Newsflash: Sydney Quilt Fair Stands A16 and B15

We are now on the verge of the biggest show of the year – Darling Harbour.

There is always a special buzz around this show, as people come from miles around to attend. We are on Stand A16 for the main stall, and we also have a special baby stall B15. Kev’s in charge of the little ones, so expect to see his (bearded) smiling face! He has some lovely new designs to show you, as well as some wonderful surprises in Fabric Bundles, including 1½ metre pieces of nursery prints for only $18, with 3 x 1½ metre pieces for $50. Very, very good value for nursery fabric in quantities – ideal for backing and for borders. Kev also has a wide range of Cot Panels & Book Panels. Although our stocks are diminishing now, we are one of the very few stalls still able to provide kits in Beatrix Potter fabrics, so now is the time to hop in before they are all gone!

Our new designs for little ones are “Under a Mushroom” pictured above, and two lovely pastel quilts: “Baby Buds” pictured left below, and “Bow-Delicious” pictured right below. We are offering “Baby Buds” in a choice of pink, blue, or green.

The main stall, manned by yours truly, will be showcasing our brand new “Love Among the Roses”. We’ve been bowled over by the wonderful response to this BOM and we are quickly reaching our quota because of fabric availability. Still a few places left for the brave souls who venture out to this busy show! Also, still largely under wraps, I’ll be giving you a sneak peek at the sequel to Love Among the Roses, and this is “Romance of the Roses”. It is a gorgeously pretty pastel version, but will have a completely different layout to its predecessor. I’ll have some of the blocks on hand, as well as the fabrics I’ll be using, so come along and ask me for a sneak peek at the new BOM as a w.i.p. (work in progress of course!) I’ve been stitching furiously for the last few weeks, but had to stop to co-ordinate all the stock for the show. Never mind, you can still get the idea just by looking at the blocks, and, if you prod, I may reveal a little more. Due to start in September, we will be taking names for this one at the show, and be warned, fabrics are limited.

Another foot in the door situation can be had by joining our wonderful *Gift of the Month* club for 2011. We are taking names now, and we’re finding that people are beginning to rush to join this club. It has been a very exciting initiative, and has kept us all on our toes. So, take the time to visit both of our stands when you come to the show Happy Stitching.

Kind Regards, Lesley & Kevin, June 2010
